What Hourly does

Hourly is a time tracking app for iPhone and Mac. Tap to start a timer, assign it to a project, and it calculates your earnings based on your hourly rate.

It syncs over iCloud, so you can start a timer on your phone and check it from your Mac later. Everything stays up to date on both devices: history, charts, reports.

Income tracking

Set a rate per project and you see what you've earned today, this week, this month. When it's time to bill a client, export a PDF report and send it over.

Also included

- Session notes and color-coded project categories

- Weekly and monthly breakdowns of where your hours went

- Filterable session history by day, week, or project

Who uses it

Freelancers, consultants, and anyone who bills by the hour.

Pricing

Free to download. Some features require a subscription.

Love the focus on simplicity here - time tracking shouldn't require a PhD. Key insight for makers: time data becomes valuable when connected to income/revenue goals. Consider building integrations that sync tracked hours to Stripe invoices automatically, or dashboards showing income per hour by project type. This transforms time tracking from busywork into actionable business intelligence. Also, think about API access for power users - some of us want to build custom dashboards or pull data into our analytics stack. The earning visibility piece could be a real differentiator for freelancers.
